The Spanish legend, regarded as one of the best midfielders of the century, decided it was time to leave the Camp Nou. Iniesta had spent 22 years with the club. Iniesta won numerous trophies with Barcelona. He won the La Liga 9 times, 6 Spanish Cups, 7 Spanish Super Cups, 3 UEFA Super Cups, 3 FIFA Club World Cups and 4 UEFA Champions Leagues. Barcelona dearly loved him, fans and other players alike. Iniesta could not hold back tears during his final speech, as a reel of his greatest moments was being played on the screens in the stadium. He was given the guard of honor, and was thrown aloft by his teammates. The Catalan giants would certainly miss his presence, and so will the fans, who watched him grow and become one of the greatest.
A hero for his club, Iniesta is also a hero for his country Spain. His late goal helped Spain to win their first World Cup in 2010. He has also been a 2 time Euro winner, in 2008 and 2012. He also won the Euro with Spain's U19 squad in 2002, and with the U17 squad in 2001. Iniesta has 13 goals for his country in 129 caps. Iniesta has 65 goals and 108 assists for FC Barcelona.
